WHAT: Annual 7v7 Co-Ed Adult Soccer Tournament and Oyster Roast

WHEN: Saturday, November 30th, 2024

benefiting Midwifery Advocacy through NCACPM and NCforCPMs

FORMAT:  The Oyster Tourney is a great opportunity to have a fun-filled day of soccer and festivities.  All teams are Adult (over 18) Co-Ed (7v7) with a minimum of 2 female players on the field during play.  Divisions are based upon level of skill and competitiveness.  This event has something for every level of player, even beginners. Teams are guaranteed 3 games of soccer and The After-Party is FREE to all tournament participants.  This tourney is unique in its emphasis on positive attitudes and sportsmanship.  Each team provides a "referee" for 1 to 2 games during the tournament.  The "ref" is responsible for keeping the score, timing the game and making very basic calls to keep players safe.  The expectation is for the players to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity by self-calling the majority of the game.  At the end of every game, Teams vote for 2 players from the opposing team with the best attitude and put them in the running for the prestigious "Pearl" Award.

We encourage everyone to pre-purchase tickets, so that we have enough for all.

Schedule

Team Name Highlighted are the games that you provide time and score keeper(s). 

Group A:    Games are 25 min. halves with a 5 min half-time - 4 games total.   Round-Robin to determine Champs!

Group B:    Games are 30 min. halves with a 5 min half-time - 2 games Round Robin with a Championship (1st place from each set of 3) and Consolation matches for 2nd and 3rd place teams.  3 games total.

Soccer Registration

Registration Deadline November 20th

Team Registration Includes 12 players.  Additional players can be added with payment.

Individuals can register solo or as a small group to be added to a team.

After-Party and a bucket of Oysters is INCLUDED in player and team registration. 

Friends and Family are welcome to join in. Oysters may be purchased for $15/bucket now, or $20/bucket day of.

The NC Chapter of the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives, is holding the 14th Oyster Tourney November 30th, 2024.  This is a Co-ed Adult Soccer Tournament that has around 200 participants and we are looking forward to another fun, successful event this year.  This event depends on the generous donations and sponsorships from local businesses.  We provide food and drinks to the participants and volunteers, so there are lots of great ways to sponsor!  Sponsorship options are below:
